Walking, Talking, and Engaging Little Armenia

The monthly community walks have empowered Los Angeles residents to directly connect with their elected officials. On November 23, 2013 at 9am sharp Los Angeles City Council District 13 Councilman Mitch O'farrell came back to Little Armenia to engage the community members and connect with their concerns and needs.

It was a bright day with dozens of community activists volunteering to walk, talk, and invite the constituents voice their concerns. Some of the basic issues in the community was clean and safe sidewalks, graffiti removal and deserted furniture nuisance. Other more common concerns of the neighbors, they were street parking, street closures, and schools.

Across town, Mayor Garcetti was also holding a community walk day in the San Fernando Valley's Pacoima neighborhood. It is highly celebrated that the next generation of City and State Representatives must come out and connect with their district's constituents, working together we can make our community a better place.
