Your Community College District

In just under 30 days you will be asked to vote for candidates for the important LA Community College Board of Trustees.  Many voters complain that they don't know the candidates, or their positions. I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to you and start a conversation about why I think this important position will affect you, your families and your neighborhood.   I am a former LA Valley College Student Body President who went on to graduate from college and receive an MBA.  I consult with many businesses and organizations and teach as a College Instructor.  My wife and I live in Los Angeles with our two young children and are active in community service organizations.   Click here for a link to the League of Women Voters "Smart Voter" profile on my candidacy.  For those of you who want to like me and follow the issues on Facebook then click here.   Finally, I am active daily with issues on Twitter and can be followed here @SamKbushyan.   My goal is to put you, the Community, back in our LA Community College system.  In order to do that, I hope to help inform you about what is happening there and what we can do to make it more relevant and responsive to our lives.
